Even better, station someone from your organization near the table to answer questions and to greet attendees. (No selling allowed.. such as tickets). I am a 57 year old married guy, just now going through an early retirement from playing the role of a middle school principal. I love the teachers and students I work with daily, but I want to work more on my inner life. I live with a chronically ill wife who teaches me to forgive, let go of judgments and discover myself in her regularly. I am astounded by my good fortune in life to discover that the world is really just a reflection of my projections, beliefs and thought patterns. I'd like to comment on one thing: "Violence comes essentially from an inner panic of feeling abandoned, alone, and unsupported in a situation that is out of control." I would like to suggest that Fear - not violence - comes out of the above situations, and that violence arises for those who lack the skills to deal with their fear through nonviolent means. It is the work and promise of the Department of Peace to help develop those skills for all members of society that will lead to the culture of peace we deserve. Keep up the good writing! Hey David-

I would like to suggest that Fear – not violence – comes out of the above situations, and that violence arises for those who lack the skills to deal with their fear through nonviolent means. It is the work and promise of the Department of Peace to help develop those skills for all members of society that will lead to the culture of peace we deserve.
