You are welcome to attend the awesome public service on Wednesday, Nov. 11th, 6:45pm, at First Christian Church.. the monthly Interfaith Prayer Service. Also, please avail yourself of the Information Table near the entrance of the sanctuary.. for brochures/fliers on your programs. Even better, station someone from your organization near the table to answer questions and to greet attendees. (No selling allowed.. such as tickets). Thank you for your service to our community..smile. Norma.

Yes, my name is David Hazen. I was ego surfing, googling my own name, and I came across you, David Hazen. You hold such a similar philosophy of life. I am amazed and awed by your words!

I am a 57 year old married guy, just now going through an early retirement from playing the role of a middle school principal. I love the teachers and students I work with daily, but I want to work more on my inner life. I live with a chronically ill wife who teaches me to forgive, let go of judgments and discover myself in her regularly. I am astounded by my good fortune in life to discover that the world is really just a reflection of my projections, beliefs and thought patterns. I see myself in everyone; I fall in love with everyone.

Again, I am delighted to read your words! If you have the time, please contact me!

Hey David-
Another thoughtful, well-written post. Thanks for keeping the conversation going.

I'd like to comment on one thing:
"Violence comes essentially from an inner panic of feeling abandoned, alone, and unsupported in a situation that is out of control."

I would like to suggest that Fear - not violence - comes out of the above situations, and that violence arises for those who lack the skills to deal with their fear through nonviolent means. It is the work and promise of the Department of Peace to help develop those skills for all members of society that will lead to the culture of peace we deserve.

Keep up the good writing!

Hi David ~

My google alerts led me to a comment you recently posted in support of Department of Peace & Nonviolence legislation, and I followed it to here, where I see for the first time your lovely wife and family!

Our brief encounters at national Peace Alliance conferences and planning phone calls in support of this legislation have left me feeling so happy to know you are a part of my world, my country and my life.

It has been nearly a year since last we met, and I wanted to take this opportunity to say that I think of you often, with love and gratitude for all that you do and all that you are.

Thank you for your willingness to express the love in your heart as, together with myself and others, you live every day with a vision to create a world that works for everyone.
