Hi David ~

My google alerts led me to a comment you recently posted in support of Department of Peace & Nonviolence legislation, and I followed it to here, where I see for the first time your lovely wife and family!

Our brief encounters at national Peace Alliance conferences and planning phone calls in support of this legislation have left me feeling so happy to know you are a part of my world, my country and my life.

It has been nearly a year since last we met, and I wanted to take this opportunity to say that I think of you often, with love and gratitude for all that you do and all that you are.

Thank you for your willingness to express the love in your heart as, together with myself and others, you live every day with a vision to create a world that works for everyone.

Just google'ing your name comes up with so much. More than anything, i appreciate your growth trhoughout your life. While i grow older myself I still see you growing older and wiser ever more. I still have yet to here about your stories and delve into your past, but maybe some of that is better left untouched. Thank you so much for your support in my life, i hope i'm able to do it some justice.

Love you dad.

Thanks for the inspiration, David. So much food for thought. You got me interested in learning more about systems-thinking.
I also read and find hope in YES magazine. I first heard of the Department of Peace legislation in YES, back in 2002!

David, this is very powerful. It really gives hope. There are a lot of great lines in it, but the one that stood out for me was, "Blame carries with it an assumption that those being blamed will not change their behavior, it keeps the situation static." I think this is one of the reasons that changes comes so slowly. Anger and blame keep us from thinking creatively on how to solve problems.

David,
Thank you for this opening to see more of you and who you bring to the peacetable. Your photos are so sweet and your honesty a treasure. I am planning a dance training in Eugene in January and hope to join you and Val on your dance circle.
peace,

David, I love this - so full of information, passion, hope, and even steps to take. I may take it as handouts to district Coordinators meeting next Sunday, do post it for many to see.

No time right now for the others, but will find time later.

Hugs for peace,

Pat
