Regarding the vigilante-style shooting of a black youth: wonder if anyone can see there were (and are) victims at both ends of the gun? Above all, that WE are both victim and perpetrator of the cycle of violence, and that if we are ever to achieve escape velocity from its grip, WE must become nonviolent, completely, in all aspects of our lives, and stop-stop-stop labeling others as violent. Our focus on the injustice, the anger, the blame, the punishment, is not part of the solution. What heals? What restores? What unites? What is it that makes friends out of enemies?
